2018 Qvevri Savagnin
We are fascinated by the ancient traditions of Georgian winemaking - over 3000 years of history fermenting grapes and making parties happen. In 2017 we buried two Georgian qvevri (large ceramic amphorae) in the ferrous clay solid of Symphonia vineyards in the King Valley, Victoria, and filled them with a Jura favourite - Savagnin.
Natural fermentation and maturation in Qvervi for 10 months. Deeply complex textures and minerals. Fresh stone fruit and sweet mandarin finish. No adds.
A wine for the dinner table or the couch.
