Fully barrel fermented Yarra Valley Chardonnay with excellent fruit weight and texture. Nuts and honey, saline too, a little spice, apple and melon. It’s a gentle wine, kind of buttery and honeyed, but with balanced acidity, a glossy feel, but with a fine powdery texture, lemon curd and ginger, sizzled sage in butter, and a slightly chalky finish of good length. Delicious!

From 1995 vine plantings, grown in dark, rich volcanic soil in Kangaroo Ground at East Hill Estate. Gently airbag pressed, lightly settled before 100% barrel fermenting in seasoned French oak. Rested on fine lees for 9 months and full spontaneous MLF.
