Lou - Carménère
The Carménère was sustainably farmed on Taungurung Country (Heathcote). It had two weeks of daily pumpovers before it was pressed to rest in old french oak for 7 months.
Named after Lou, an anxious olf dog who fills his days roaming a big property in Macedon, watching Dad tend to the vines. <3 DEFIALY <3
Lou’s a leaf in the breeze. Mild by nature and subtly sweet. A perfect storm of spice and sophistication.
The wine’s CARMÉNÈRE, a relaxing treat.
Think Cab Sav with dry mint and paprika…
Our Philosophy.
Is simple, we take good fruit and try not to mess it up. We don’t force it to be something that it isn’t. If the grapes are lean, we make lean wine. If the grapes are robust, we make robust wines.
The fruit decides the wine, and we respect that.
Each year nature sends us a new challenge in the form of precious and particular grapes. The fruit received is cared for and transformed into something that can be shared and enjoyed with friends and family.
Cron & Maggie.
Cron and his best mates Maggie and Percy believe that wine should be accessible, relatable and most of all, fun. So every bottle is vinified with that special love that only a hooman and doggo can share. Because there is nothing that is as pure and gratifying as a dog, but good wine comes pretty close.
The Land.
Our wines honour the unique characteristics of the land on which they are grown. We are lucky to have access to some amazing regions in Victoria to grow great wine and we are committed to celebrating what the season offers us.
